icon_question.gif First, I just want to say thanks to everyone here for all the info. I was finally able to install the Java app loader on my phone due to all the info I acquired here. Now the problem is with the Midway 2.8. I have followed all the instructions here to download a game to my phone. I go to java app loader, it tells me to install cable, I do, It says JAL link active, the midway file shows .jad. When I hit the send to mobile button, it starts, but after a few seconds comes up with an error message "Timer Expired" "Downloading Canceled". Anybody experience this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance....Tom

You almost there budy!!!.
Go to device manager and look to see what comp port# your modem is then lick setting in Midway and match that # also the last box type in AT and hit the button send jad which is right after the open jad now looking at your fone it should say download hit that button and you are there. icon_wink.gif icon_wink.gif

Thanks hagan. I verified that my phone is on COM 1 and working properly. Midway is set to COM 1, Baud rate at 115200, and AT in the AT command box. Still the same.... Opening JAD file...[OK] Connecting the phone....[Timer Expired] Downloading canceled. Do I need to do anything after I plug the cable into the phone, before I hit the send jad button? I get the JAL link active and then it returns to the Java menu. Should I be in the Java menu or do I need to do something else?? icon_wink.gif

Now this may sopund wier to you but you need to close all program.
Plug you fone in and fire up you PST---> new file--> Kjava-->read fone, do this step untill you see the java enable bar light up----> restar fone-----> unplug fone---> fone java--> java uploader select--> plugin fone-->Midway-->check all setting to match then open jad to load games ----> send jad DO NOT USE send AT command . It should work , if not change the rate down and some time change the comp# to 3 or 5 then change it right back to 1 then hit send jad. Note you have to let window chose the port for you fone modem when it detected it inoder for it to work, but if you force change it yourseft it won't take it. Try it again and keep posting

Thanks again hagan. Tried all you said to do. Still no luck. Getting the same error message. Removed and reinstalled java app loader, no help. Any more suggestions? I'm going to try reinstalling midway. Can't hurt anything !!! icon_cry.gif

I need some help transfering games into my phone.

I have Mobile Phone Tools installed and working PERFECTLY so no problem there.

BUT I also have MIDway and the PST 7.1.1installed and when ever I use PST 7.1.1 like you indicated us to use It will say to connect the phone and to power it on, when it already is. Now I know that its connect and everything should work fine becuase Mobile Phone Tools work. So what do I do?

Oh I also have the phone V220
