I just got a serial data cable for my Samsung X426 installed the EasyGPRS 2.1.8 and it does not seem to be connecting to my cell phone. when i shut down the easygprs the phone beeps and the phone seems to be charging from my computer.
I really want to be able to transfer images and ringtones to my phone and have been waiting for this cable for 3 weeks. I am a little upset that it is not working.
can anyone assist me?

I got the exact same cable man, and I can't seem to get it to work either  can anyone help us?

Richferaco does yours seem like it is charging the phone when it is connected? I saw somewhere in the forums that this is a bad thing for it to be doing. plus i think this seller is somehow affiliated with eforcecity which i read here somewhere that they sell a cable that does not work with the 426. or I might just be confused because i was looking around in a lot of places to get a good cheap one and mixed up the sites.
at least it is not a total loss i got the case as well which i believe locally sells for 20 dollars. which is 2 dollars more than what i got the cable/case for.
does your cable have e205 on the connector?

im not exactly sure if its charging but I got my cable from eforcity and on the cable it says SAM X426, if this doesn't work, thats really gay:(, I just mailed them and asked them if they knew where to get the software so i could get the cable to work.. good thing i never gave them a rating yet on Ebay

on mine it says x205 (x being a letter can't remember the letter though) and when i plug it in it beeps and the battery indicator on the phone starts flashing like it is charging.

my phone does not charge but it makes a beeping noise when i put it in but thats all it does

No it doesn't do anything to the battery indicator. do u have hotmail or Msn messenger by any chance?
