As I said the firmware upgrade is free when you are flashing the phone on our remote server. And it's true for all latest supported models. Old models like T68, T610 etc might need an additional credit to upgrade their formware.

I'm new to this "unlocking" thing and I think I understand the basics of it. My questions are:
1.What is the benefit of unlocking my phone while I'm under my contract with T-mobile? (ie: will it affect my service in any way?, Will T-mobile know if I do this?, Will it improve roaming ability with the phone?, will my service be cancelled or changed?, Will it actuallly improve my reception with this phone?......) .
2. Where do I buy these "terminator dongles"?
3. Any suggestions or anything I missed about this subject?

This removes not only a provider placed lock but also its anoying
logos ( think Vodafone ), predefined themes, images, sounds, locked WAP
profiles and links. Debranding gives your phone a brand new look plus
frees up its memory (if you care). |
hi i got told that debranding will only remove the networks, icons, menus etc, and doesn't remove the actual network lock...
which one is true, do you have to buy a log for debranding and then purchase a seperate log to unlock and debrand k700i
or will a debranding log do both |
To fully debrand k700 you will need 2 credits.
One - to flash it with decustomization firmware
Second - to unlock it
Every time you do a decustomization you can upgrade it to the latest firmare for free |
instead of doing it yourself and risking screwing the phone up(since it'l lbe my first phone when I get it then friday) can I get someone to do the decustomization and unlock it?? that'll be great ! and what are the good things about doing these two things?

I unlocked my K700 yesterday with Multiserv. And there no Problems, it worked very fine. I Only need 1 credit vor decustomizing. My Phone is not locked to anything, or i didn't know something. After decustomizing all functions are working !
Now the Phone Rocks
More speed, fewer Bugs and better look
For flashing i used my noname Data Cable, i altered in a service cable (only 3 cables must be changed) it's very easy to make.

I have 2 question about it.
a) does the GDFS also involved to save the info of the unlock of the operators ?
The question is because I have a Z1010 branded with 3 Network and I want to have it branded with TIM (my operator actually) , so my friend can flash me the firmware specific for TIM no i want to know if it is better to
a) Unlock the phone first with Multiserver and then flash the firmware with TIM
b) Flash the firmware with TIM and then unlock the network with multiserver.
In the future if I will upgrade the firmware does this will affect the unlocking if the firmware is either free )Sonyericsson standard firmware) or operator that is not locked .
Thanks for the answer...
PS. does the Multiserver act like the NCK so it will discover it and write to the phone ?
