I've read through this thread, but am not really any the wiser. Is it possible to flash the K750i to the W800i's firmware without paying for this service? I ask because I am not able to use internet payment services.

It is possible to flash the K750i with the software for the w800i, but this is usually a pay for service which companies charge a nomiinal fee for. Our fee for this would be £10, and others are roughly the same.
The cost comes from the fact that some form of SonyEricsson tool is required, which is NOT CHEAP.

A 2G sim card is one which supports only GSM, it will not use the UMTS Network.
They can be sourced from any high street phone retailer.

I am planning to buy a SE z710i and I was told by a SE person it was identical to the w710i except for the fitness features on the Walkman model. Can the z710i be converted to w710i completely? How?

My firmware hasn't been updated since I bought the phone way back when. I called sony ericsson and there is no firmware upgrade center in my area. Odd, I live in NY. I guess the phone is too old. They told me to download the update service software and buy a DCU-11. I did this, but after the splash screen told me to turn off my phone and remove the sim card and then put the battery back in, nothing happens. The phone is on com 4 and it is enable. Still nada.
Is there a way to flash my sony ericsson with the latest firmware for my phone. How do it get the firmware and can it be updated with a DCU-11.

just install this software called client.exe but it,s asking for a password.
these links pissed me off flashing phones.

I have reach to some models of sony ericsson sets,like T610 and K800
that contain TEMS Pocket on them.My question is: Can I flash the TEMS software on my PC and upload it to another mobile set?(as you know the 3G version of TEMS Pocket costs 16000$).

if i brand my fone and i put a nother sim init then will i be able to call out as there is a bar on my phone from the contract and it works but wont ring and just says inactive sim even though inow its not the sim as it worksi n others phone
