when you open filemanager are you trying to upload using the upload icon? if so forget that and just open the file manager option(icon) when that opens you have a split screen with your phone in the top half and your pc in the bottom half. In the top half next to your phone there should be a plus sign and when clicked on it should expand to show the 3 folders that Dr talks about. You should be able to upload or download files this way but look back through this thread and you will find a "fix" that Dr sent me that disables the max file size within filemanager. Since following his instructions I have had no problems.

I've tried it all and it still won't F**king work. What the hell are Samsung playing at? if they sale a phone that states it can be connected to a PC and let you change stuff, then why doesn't it. I never had any problems with my T100 & V200.
Samsung should really get off there a*s and do something about this.
P.S. if anyone can get this working for me, I'd love you forever.

Hey all,
I'm really sorry to ask the questions all over again..but i'm really lost now..
I just bought a usb data cable from ebay and everytime i plug it into my E820, the phone just shuts down...i had to connect my battery charger in order to turn my phone again...
I read about serial cable..i didn't know about that until i read this forum.. What is the difference? Can't my usb work on my pc?
And my File Manager keeps on saying i'm offline too...what's wrong?
Please help me....

I've also just bought E800 just two days ago and I tried with the (Com) cables.......cannot be used, BUT only the infra-red IrDA.It then can be connected with the Pims&Manager software..And, also I can't tranfer both wallpapers and rigtones from easyStudio to my E800....BTW, Does anyone use the Image Editor.....I dunnoe why I can't upload my photos from my HP to the computer by using Image Editor.....My HP can't connect wif the image editor ........WHY? the button for clicking the Hp is greyed.........?????????Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas......?

Dear Wainez,
with irda, use the PIMs File Manager to upload photos and ringtones. The image editor is to edit the image so it complies with the size etc.

can som1 plz help me rite this is the problem.
i have a samsung e800 and ive bought a usb data cable. installed all the drivers 4 the cable and a program called "EasyStudio PIMS & File Manager". the problem comes wen i load EasyStudio PIMS & File Manager it doesnt recognise the fone being connected. i hav set it up so that it is on com4 as it says in device manager but it still doesnt work. occasionaly i get a message wen i start up the program sayin "Cannot open the pot and this program is switched in offline mode. after, try to switch in online" what am i doing wrong? and what the hell is offline mode?
id b very grateful if sum1 cud help thanks in advance,

hiya i also got the usb data cable for the samsung e800 and i installed everything fine (i think) and in the device manger, the correct ports are there - and when i plug it in the usb, it says the usb has been found but when i connect it to my phne absolutely nothing happens, i am only wanting to transfer my phone photos to my pc. can anyone please please tell me what i am doing wrong? thanks and kid regards

I've installed the File manager from Dr but while starting the program i always get this alert: 'Can not initialise DAO/Jet DB-engine'
What am I doing wrong?
