Im having a similar problem. When i first plugged my phone in to the PC via the USB cable, it all seemd fine. The drivers installed ok, everything appeared good. I installed the software, then i tried to set a COM port in the manager, but it seems there isnt one available. The help files says to look for a port with a * nest to it, but i cant find one. Also now when i plug my phone in, its as if the PC isnt seeing it. Any help would be appreciated.

put the software disc in pc go to device manager if any yellow triangles are there click it and update the driver from there. if there is a couple of triangles do them all ?(remember to put phone in idle screen before you connect to pc)

The idle screen is the one you get when you open your phone i.e. the one that has media and contacts above the 'soft keys'.
