Not sure what you mean exactly but if you want to know your model number then look under the battery for model.

Trying to find some definitive instructions on unlocking and flashing a V600. Will flashing a V600 also unlock the phone? it seems that it won't. So how and where do I get it unlocked? Thanks in advance.

Unlocking- Cannot be done with cable and software, you need to alook into to an online remote unlcoking service or you can try old fool. He has a smart clip and it can be done in seconds but you would need to ship phone to him and pay for return shippig.
Have you had any responses (even via pm or email) to this post?

I would like to get feedbacks from anyone who flexed or flashed or did both on their V400 or V600? Please include the procedures, the outcome (good or bad), any bugs, what version you have and ended with, and any comments you may have. Thanks.
Tutorial: by red rabbit: what i had and what i did, and what happened.
So i started off with a motorola v400 i got with fido, and then me being a curious old bugger searched up information on my phone, compared it to others, found mobiledia, and found out i could "flash & flex" my phone, asked some questions, and found the highest possible firmware and flex i could get on my v400 was a v600, and i figured, weull, that means i can watch some tunes on my phone(video playback) and figured why not.... i have a data cable(originally bought it to transfer over pictures and ringers(mobile phone tools at the time) and so i downloaded the software that was generally for all moto's and full acces...(pst 6.7 general and patch) got p2kman(to delete locked media and ringers) opened up multi-flashflex from the pst install folder.... flashed my phone with triplets G 4FR and flexed my phone with the E9 flex, (one point of reference, flash your phone before you flex it. or you will end up with a dead phone) and make sure you have a full battery, when the battery is low it has the tendancy to disconnect from the computer) did all that and found huge improvements. one. it was de branded(good thing becuase i'm not a consumer whore lol) faster menus much cleaner screen oddly, found that picture quality jumped up a notch or two, i can enjoy less lag when playing my games. i can enjoy watching little snip it on my phone from family and friends(and some stuff i ripped on to my phone in 3gp format)
and heck i think i get better reception becuase even though me and my brother have the same phone and provider, i seem to get more reception in the basement than he does. which proves to me that this was a total succes. the only thing wrong or i guess in lack of doing this is that you won't gain video capture, seeing as it does not operatre on triplets phones so i repeat DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FLASH WITH ANY FIRMWARE HIGHER THAN A V600 ON A TRIPLETS BASED PHONE (check your class of phone in your settings and phone status menu)
so anyways, it was great. i don't know why some people did not like the flex or what not, or regret doing it.... hey 40 bucks for a data cable, get all the expandability of a v600 minus bluetooth and video capture, better reception, better functionality. heck go for it, just make sure you follow every step in the procedure. and please make sure not to bust a fit when you find out that it voids your warranty.....
OHHH and one last point, this is a good way to save yourself a good 80 bucks, instead of buying the v600, if you really don''t care about video capture( not that great a feature anyways.usually limited...)
