I would like to get feedbacks from anyone who flexed or flashed or did both on their V400 or V600? Please include the procedures, the outcome (good or bad), any bugs, what version you have and ended with, and any comments you may have. Thanks.

Can you explain flex and flash and give some examples of why someone might want to do this to their phone.
It seems there are a lot of problems associated with doing this so the risks seem very high.

i bought a V500

I just flashed/flexed my cingular v400 to v600 with SE6452AXXP10F9 and TRIPLETS G_0B.09.38R and wow what a difference.The menus are way faster, more free memory, no branding at all and can now play back video. I did notice a slight reception degradation but have never had a dropped call and still get 3-4 bars most of the time. The only thing this phone is missing now is video capture. Too bad you can't put a v300 camera into a v400.  [/img]

i accidentally did something to my v400... now when i try to use the camera it says Picture Capture Failed... can someone please send me the back up for the phone... i backed up most but forgot a lot of the seems... i think it mught be the 0032 seem

Can you help me out with this?
Cingular tells me to contact motorola, motorola tells me to contact cingular. No one will help me with this POS firmware. It's never been upgraded and I've had it for over a year. I need to get the usb cable and I dont' know where you find those files.

I do not think that motorola offers support for cell phone modding/flashing and cingular definately doesnt. There are moto firmware files here http://www.motoaide.com:8081

I just orderd the usb cable off of ebay today; I have a month left on my contract to Cingular. At this point I'm figuring what do I have to lose. I do not want to have one last angry month with this phone.
It's so much easier to just take your CDMA to VZW and let them have it for a half hour than to get the CSR800# runaround
