I just bought Samsung SGH-E715 phone.

Also I bought downloading cable.
On cable is written:
Model: PCB037DBE
S/N: RT1W07AS

I downloaded manuals and EasyGPRS (version 2.1.8) from www.samsung.com web site. I followed instructions and instaled easyGPRS softvare and Samsung GPRS Modem driver.

Now I have prloblem, I pluged cable and phone well but software do not detect my phone. I tryed first to plug phone than start software (EasyGPRS) and second time I tryed first to start software than plug phone. It not works anyway.

Cable is on COM1.
I conigured software well.
On "System propertis/Hardware/Device manager/Modems" it show Samsung GPRS Modem and same is in Control Panel under "Phone and Modem options" tab.
Under "device status" tab it say that "This device is working properly."
But under "diagnostics" tab when I click on tab "Query Modem" I got message: "The modem failed to respond. Make sure it is properly connected and turned on. If it is and internal modem or is connected, verify that the interrupt for port is properly set."
Well everyting is properly connected on COM1 and I declared that in setings.

When I plug phone I heard "bip" from phone and on display it showing as battery is charging.

Can anyone here help me to resolve this problem?

As far as I know....

I tried Samsung original data cable "PCB093LBE"
which works fine... And EasyGPRS Wizard is for setup
Phone as a modem for Notebook PC. So it's quite useless
for uploading Images, Ringtones... etc.

EasyGPRS... It's can only upload JPG, BMP & GIFs.
For Ringtones, only mmf file is supported, but you can use midi
thru WAP.

Did you switch the cable mode to "D/L"?
If so, probably you need to set the speed of com1(or com2, as you chose) same in both EasyGPRS and property of com port. Please note the default values of transfer-speed are different. Then try to connect your mobile with the cable...
