Is it possible to play .mmf files on the T630? I just ordered a T630 Liquid Black, at the bargain price of $99, without contract.
Now it's not a big deal, but I've come to love "voice ringtones", or what sounds like it. My samsung can play only .mmf, and there's a way to convert .wav to .mmf, and make it sound like wav. So is there a way to cheat the T630 to play voicelike ringtones? I guess not if it plays only midi, but I wanna be sure icon_smile.gif

thanks

Hi,

The Tones Supported By T610 are as follows.
1. Midi
2. Imy
3. Emy

***AMR is the format the phone uses to record sound clips.

Yes, The AMR conversion quality on the phone is quite bad. So trying them could put you into trouble. AMR is a format which is under Mono. It wouldn't that efficient.

Hi,
Usually the AMR format consists as Mono. So the quality is fair. But WAV & Mp3 could be converted into Mono or Stereo. So when the tone is on Stereo quality the tone quality is high. That's why we quote that AMR tones are not good in quality. I tried using the worst compression on the AMR which is 2:1, but it was still not the best.

Imy & Emy are formats which tones consist..!
imy - iMelody
emy - eMelody

what softwares can I use to convert MP3's or WAV's into IMY or EMY?
And do these file types support voice, or ar they only instruments?

Hi,
IMy and Emy are instrumental plays. But the voice capable format is mmf & AMR. So if your phone supports them you could simply convert them to the mentioned formats and transfer them to the phone.

To Convert them to AMR try downloading Nokia Multimedia Converter. You could find it here..! http://www.mondo3.com/telefoni/tools/nokiaconverter.html
