I'm having the same problem right now on my LG VX8100. but the problem is I don't recall dropping my phone in water. I tried all of the things that Blade said and taking out the battery but it didn't work. Please help me!

I just tried the paper clip thing on my phone and it worked! I encourage everyone with the "Car Kit" problem to try this!

I just tried the solution offered by others to touch the small metal pieces of the phone and battery with metal (I used a metal paper opener) and it worked! No more "Car Kit"!
