I have a Motorola V710 and my service provider is Telus Mobility in Canada, do you think using P2KMAN and a USB plug would help me to delete those two files in order for the MP3 to be recognized by my phone? I don't want to go rushing out and wasting my money if someone knows if it's not possible...

Hey I just thought I ought to let you know, the link for the ringtone program comes up as a dead page when you click on it. (PolderbitS Sound Recorder and Editor). I was wondering if you can post an updated one?
Also, can you do this on a Motorola ROKR E1? And if it is possible, would it go into the 512MB Mem. card for iTunes, or into the internal memory? (which is around 5 mb if I remember correctly)
thanks.

When I try to transfer my ringtone, it says
[Quote]Request denied by phone (Forbidden (0x43))
why does it do this?

I have the Motorola SLVR L6. I have a .wav file I want to use as my ringtone. I go into the editor, edit it and save it. However, when I try to transfer the .wav to my phone it says inappropriate or missing codec. I am also using the phone tools software that came with the phone

hey! i have the motorola v635 phone from rogers wireless. I didnt have a problem with ringtones until recently. All the files i try to send into my phone keeps on coming up as file corrupt. but then they seem to work fine in my memory card! I've tried to use my friend's phone to send ringtones to my phone but then it does the same. Is there anyone who knows how i can fix this?

I have a v265. I searched and searched and read this thread and others like it.
Finally I figured out you have to convert mp3s/wav to mmf with Yamaha's SMAF conversion tools, then change the extention from .mmf to .mid or .midi.
Find SMAF tools here http://smaf-yamaha.com/tools/downloads.html
