the equipment costs more than the phone, roughly about $250 USD.

Where can this 250 dollar equipment be purchased? I've googled and checked ebay to no avail.

You need a service box like Griffin, UFS, Twister, N-Box, etc. They are pretty expensive, not worth it unless you are a dealer. Lookem up on google and you should find a couple things on them.

A friend in the US sent me Nokia 1100 Tracfone. I took it to a dealer coz it said SIM not found. Dealer says even if flashed, phone will still not work in Kenya. I asked him why, but he cannot say. Is this really true? Please advice.

The 2nd unlock code worked for me!! Now, I need to ask the question, what am I supposed to do with an unlocked Nokia 1100?
I am messing with a pile of these that I have accumulated from Tracfone so I don't really care if attempts at unlocking go awry as they are headed for the dump anyhow, I mean, who would want a plain vanilla Nokia 1100?
Considering you can get a fully loaded Razor with a plan the phone comes free!
Could someone please explain to me of what use these unlocked Nokia 1100's are?
In any Case Bill your codes do work!
i have 2 tracfone sims that have been activated both have 20 units. i also have a tracfone sim that has'nt been activated with 20 units avail if you need.
