i have a vx 3200 on verizon. i hate that you can only download rintones from vtext.com because their stuff sucks. is there anywhere else that you can sms ringtones to your phone or is there some way you can make an sms or ems that has a ringtone in it to your phone? thanks

man i'm in the exact same boat. I got verizon and a vx3200. I've searched EVERYWHERE. You just can't get them for the vx3200.I'm just gonna buy a new phone cuz i want a camera phone.

i was wondering if you knew where i could get a copy of the user manuel online. I bought the vx3200 from my friend but he didn't have the user manuel anymore and i dont know how to work it very well. Thanks

I use Qpst and bitpim to download my own ringtones and wallpapers. Get the programs here Link
Also get the lame encoder and wavepad. So you can make your on rings.
To make a ring
1.Slice mp3 in wavepad (only 20-30 secs)
2.Only use a 16 bit rate
3. Save as whatever.mid
4. Upload to your phone with above mentioned programs.
Data cable for the vx 6000 will be needed. Get from radio Shack.
The afformentioned sites have tuts on this so I wont go into detail.
I have yet to see a version of bitpim that supports the 3200... Is there another phone format that works for it?

For bitpim there is no 3200 option, but just set it as "other CDMA" phone and it will work fine.
When that is complete
Click FIlesystem tab and BACK UP your phone fs.
The sites I linked have great tuts. But if anyone needs additional help. I will post links to screenies or make a flash tut(time allowing).

That tut will work and yes you need the data cable for a vx6000 (from radioshack) and future dial driver for usb.

does da lg 7000 usb data cable can be use to connect an vx3200? its charges great but XP does not recognize the phone, any ideas?
