I think you tried this already, correct? You tried deleting modem and reinstalling to detect com 1?
Use a different usb port. Someone in this forum mention that his phone was not able to us 2.0 usb; thus, he enable 1.1 and it work for him.

Det the PST universal patch and run the patch this will do two things
It will allow PST taking up to #8 ( working correctly !!!)
It will make your PST drop com# 1 to #4 and only Pick up com#5 to # 8
( Working but incorrect ) either way in your case it will work. It is a litlle tricky to tdo the Patch thought. Try it and if problem ot stuck you know what to do
BTW Please post back if it is working so that we can mark the solution to help some one else next time.
Thanks

one other solution is to enable auto detect on PST that also works well...also make sure your setting is set to USB not Serial.

Make sure you have P2kman installed and running properly, if so then PST should work also. The follow drivers will need to be installed:
-Motorola USB Device: Accessories Interface
-Motorola USB Device: Communications Class -Communications Interface
-Motorola USB Device: Communications Class - Data Interface
-Motorola USB Device: Data Logging DSP Interface
-Motorola USB Device: Data Logging MCU Interface
-Motorola USB Device: Test Command Interface
-Sound, video and game Controllers: USB Audio Device
