I know there are a few posts on this issue all ready, but I still can't get mp3 ringtones that work into my phone.
1. I have latest version of MPT, 3.11
2. I have used MP3 cutter to reduce file size and have tried almost all
kpbs rates.
3. I can connect to the phone using USB and the skin is correct.
4. I can manipulate and send Jpgs with no problem.
After i xfer the mp3 and try to play it on the phone i get the error message- file is corupt.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Rog

How many sec are you mp3 files? Did you try to do more than one different mp3 songs? Have you tried to send a ringtone that is already made from other websites? zedge

I went as low as eight seconds.
I tried to upload ring tones that came with MPT in the ring tones file and they gave me the same result.
I have not tried ringtones from another web site. I will do that tonight.
Thanks

Not much member has the V180. But I don't see why you cannot.

hi boileroo,
i was thinking of getting a v180; because it is a flip and has integrated spkerphone; i dont care for camera or any other fancy sutffs.
just wanted to know if :
1. One can download contact list from outlook. i read the specs sheet they dont mentioned data connectivity like they did for v400, v600, v505. and neither was the data cable listed in its accessories option.
2. one can place various phone #s (cell, work, home) under one entry name , say john doe. and can each of numbers be labeled or categorized as "cell" , home, work, etc.??

Yes you can sync the phone with outlook, and download contact data.
I havent tried multiple entries for the same name, but it does allow you to specify number type like home, cell, work etc.....
The instuction manual does not tell you anything about using a USB cable and MPT. But it is capable of doing it.
I got my MP3 issues worked out and i think for the money this phone is great.
