Is there a forum consensus of what the best phone or phones for Verizon are these days? I'm specifically looking for a phone that has excellent reception if possible.

well i just got my lg vx6100 and i love it, it doesnt have blue tooth or anything, but i always have reception, the camera is 300k pixels not a mega pixel but its just an extra feature anyway. The voice commands workwell and the speaker phone quality is great. my friend just got the moto v710 and althought the screen is bigger plus color outside screen the speaker doesnt sound quite as good. but its still a nice phone as well.

got mine for a week already. i can say reception wise, it's not as good as my motorola v60. it kept switching between digital to analog to no reception in my house in southern california. my v60 never did that. i experienced dropped calls a number of times already in my house. other features such as camera, screen, usability, it's great but for reception, i question it's quality. i even had it exchanged at a verizon store thinking that it might be just a bad phone. the new replacement vx6100 did the same exact thing. my friend who cell phone distributor told me the best phone when it comes to reception is Motorola, although not as user friendly as LGs or Nokias.

thats weird, ive never had a problem with the reception on either of my lg phones. as far as the 6100 in the week that i have had it it has served me well. no droped calls the speaker works great, and in actuality my friend has a new moto 710 and he has droped a few calls with his.. so i dont know but i can only speak from my experiance =)

If you are looking for good reception go with the Nokia 3589i... But if you like the Get-It-Now service and want to be treated like a king, then DO NOT go with the NOKIA.
Verizon totally forgot about the NOKIA phone, and gives them little to no programs, and charges way to much for the ones that they offer.
But for reception and batt life, go with the nokia

I sold my V710 and went back to LG and couldn't be any happier!
Wait until the LG-VX 8000 comes out after the trial in January....that's my next phone come springtime!

I tried the Motorola V265 and LG 6100 and the V265 got better signal strength.
