I just got a new motorzr K1 today and it came with motorola phone tools. I installed it fine, and the computer finds the new hardware fine, however the phone tools wont connect to my phone. It just says "phone not connected" The skin looks like my phone and everything, it just wont connect. On my phone i made sure it was on the data connection like another website told me to do, no joy!
Please Help.
Christina.

I am having difficulties transfering appointments added to the Calendar of my Razr V3 into my outlook. It works fine from outlook to the V3, but not in reverse. I am using Mobile Phone Tools.
Thanks

| Quote: | | So i have recently downloaded motorola phone tools 4.0 to my computer which is a windows XP. I have a V325i phone that is perfectly connected but it wont let me enter the multimedia studio. I have tried many different things but cant seem to make it work. How can i enter this area. |
The reason that you can't get into the multimedia studio is because Verizon blocks that capability. If you look up Moto Phone Tools on Motorola's website you'll find this info at the bottom of the description. It says.
Note: If you are a Verizon customer, all multimedia and internet connection features in this software will be disabled due to carrier request. Please contact your service provider for further information.

hi,
I know this is a probably a dumb question. but I need to ask anyway.
I switched to TMobile from Cingular a few days ago. Upon switching, my Cingular service terminated automatically. I still have a few vids stored on the old Motorola phone that I want to upload to my PC. I held off on sending the videos via emailing because of slow upload connection, but now that is not even an option anymore.
I am considering buying the MPT software and USB connector to upload the vids to my PC that way, but do I need to have active service in order for the MPT installation to work? I want to know before I buy the accessories.
Thank you.

I don't know if everyone else already solved this, but I didn't see a solution on-line (on the other hand, I only dug through about 5 pages of this forum plus about 50 other places Google suggested). I tried everything else (deleting modems, un- and re-installing, rebooting the phone, rebooting the computer, a different computer, .) with no success. When using my KRZR K1m with Motorola Phone Tools, only the first time could I get my contacts and appointments onto the phone. After that, I got the interminable "Initializing. Please Wait." message on MPT. I tried deleting all the calendar entries on my phone, and then I plugged it into MPT and voila -- I can put appointments and phone numbers on the phone and synch again. This solution was repeatable (without deleting, I have the problem; after clearing the calendar entries, I have no problem).
I hope this helps someone .

I have installed the latest version of Motorola Phone Tools (it updated all of its components to the latest versions). The phone I am attempting to connect is a V3.
I run Motorola Phone Tools, and when prompted that it will now detect/install the phone, etc, I insert the usb cable to the device, however, it fails to detect it.
Any suggestions?
Can I have the phone in bootloader mode for this stage?
(I don't have a SIM in the phone -- this should still be possible though, yes?)
Do I need to install the UID Extraction Tool offered by Motorola and referenced in several places (FYI all the links to it on motorola's site are all now since broken).
