i have this software from motorola mobile phone tools deluxe 4 and i know how everything goes. my data cord is fine and everything. but when i try to transfer my ringtones to my fone i get a message saying unsupported format. no conversion possible. i kno it has something to do with the file type. but does anyone know why or how to change it if its possible. can you please help me thanks.

I have the silver L6 and just bought a lead to transfer music etc, i got the drivers and the lead works as it sys motorola l6 when putting phone to pc usb and when installing phone tools or any other software it finds it then restarts the program and says connect phone like it ccouldnt find it, and all i get on the phone is charging, and also blue tooth people can find me but i cant find them, also my girlfriend has v3 phone and we cant find each other either by blue tooth when i run phonetools all it says is initilizing and thats it
hopefully someone can help me as ive tried hours on end to do this please

ve updated the mobile phone tools and registerred my fone and the razor fone has popped up but now it just keeps saying please wait and i cant get to the media part on it where you upload the pictures and ringtones . any help ? plz

Okay. here's my life story of Motorola bloody phone tools.
Well I installed it ages ago, multimedia didn't work, boo. So I uninstalled it, tried loads of stuff, didn't work again, so uninstalled.
Installed again today, working fine, went on multimedia and it worked! Actually it said Copying, but nothing happan or moved or changed after like ten mintues.
any adviiiice?

For those of you having problems getting Mobile Phone Tools to connect, this might help.
If you are getting a message saying "Initilalizing. Please Wait", but that "initilization" never ends, try powering down your mobile phone, then turning it back on.
I tried for days to get MPT to work, always getting that "Initlizing" message. When I powered down the phone and turned it back on, it worked perfectly!
I guess this makes sense if you consider the phone is "just another computer". We all know how rebooting your computer can cure a myriad of ills.
This might also help some of the other problems being discussed in this forum. At least trying it will not hurt anything. 
Hope this helps some of you.

It's stuck on Initalizing huh? I had the same problem seems the 08R firmware has a problem connecting, what you need to do is setup manually and use the E398 Driver
connect like you'd try normally, in MPT hit menu, then setup, then general setup, then communications tab, then change modem, hit next twice check the box, hit next double click Motorola GSM then find E398 then next and finish. it'll show up as a ROKR, but everything will work. |
So I did this. andthe iniiailizing please wait dissapeared.thanks.BUT now When I click on Internet it wont conneCt and when I click on multimedia studio its stuck on please wait. 
so frustratiing. HELP ?

So I just received my copy of MPT and a USB cord with it in the mail. I downloaded it onto my computer and plugged my phone in and then things went bad. MPT will not detect my phone, so I clicked on manually install phone. I click on the Motorola USB Modem and after a bit of loading and whatnot a message said that my device has been detected but could not be identified. So I click next and as I go through the list. no K1 KRZR. I click live update and go back through and STILL no K1 KRZR. Anyone know how to fix this?
