If your phone is not detected try to just choose the closest name to your phone. For example, my phone is a RAZR v3xx, and it was not automatically detected and it was not listed on the select your phone thing. So I just chose the closet phone name to it because I was mad and was trying to see if it worked. Sure enough, it worked. I have a RAZR v3xx, while using the option thingy of a RAZR v3xv (notice the last letter is different, x and v).

i have a motorola v3 [silver razr] & i just installed mobile phonetools lite v 3.11d but for some reason, it keeps initializing. i can't do a live update because of some certain error. even though, when i click on multimedia, it opens the window, yet doesn't let me transfer files, and doesn't have the melody studio & all of that. at this moment, the phone on my computer screen doesn't have "initializing" anymore, but a blinking text cursor. how do i get it to work? thanks in advance(:

Hi, I just bought a Motorola V325i phone and wondering if there is a way to set the calendar as the wallpaper/screen saver (so it is the home screen), or if there is a "one-touch" key function to bring up the calendar. As far as I can tell you have to go through about a 4 key sequence to get to the calendar. The other ting I can't seem to figure out is the front of the phone has a screen that shows the time and incoming call info. Mine is black with white numbers/letters. Can I switch that to white with black numbers?

The error code is WinInet=12007 [ERROR_INTERNET_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED].
Check that your Internet connection is active and that no filtering or security system is blocking the connection (Control Panel-> Internet Options).
I need help with this ;] I'm so confused& what am I supposed to know about this? I'm only 14 ;D

Sup I have a razor v3 or w.e and I downloaded phone tools and I used a usb cord and it picks up the phone at first and then it says please wait a while or w.e. Then I see a clock go around and then after like 5 minutes i initalizing thing and no phone image. Any help?

Hi I am having a problem with MPT and keep recieving error messages. When I try to save a ringtone it says "Failed to create file" and when I try to transfer songs to my phone it says "Unsupported format (mp3 codec may be inappropriate or missing)". Not sure if its my phone or if its the program. Please help! Thanks

Sherrybaby, I am having the same exact problem. I use cingular and have a razr V3r. I am not sure what to do either

I have a Motorola KRZR K1m phone and have tried downloading Motorola Phone Tools 4.0 and everything goes well until I connect my phone. Even after updating with Live Update, it will not recognize my phone. I have tried putting it as a RZRv3, but it just stays on Initializing Please Wait. I have tried powering off my phone and turning it back on and that didn't work either. When I plug in my cord it says on the phone: Connected as USB Drive: Files on Memory Card are not available now. It flashes this message then disappears while my computer keeps Initializing. I am so frustrated. This is as far as I have ever gotten in several tries. Help!
