I have just bought a V600 and downloaded MPT this morning direct from Motorola/Handango, version 3.11h. I have connected via the USB cable and it hangs up initializing. Also, I have tried all of these suggestions posted above to make the Bluetooth connection work to no avail. It says it is connected for a second or two and then disconnects. I can get the PC (Sony Vaio laptop, 1.6 Mhz Pentium M) to bond with it, but not connect as a modem. Any more suggestions would be very much appreciated. icon_cry.gif

I would connect my V3 and then it would disconnect after a few seconds.
Took me a few hours but this is what i did:

When i connected it i already had device manager open, i click on the motorola phone (V3) after the deviced updated (it does automatically) and then did properties and update driver. I browsed to the c:\windows\inf directory and it found a driver for my phone. its C:\winnt if your on win2000 btw. After this is worked find and never disconnected again.

You need PST and patch to flash V400 to V600 and you need MPT for audio and pic transfer, Both are copyrighted so we cannot post links to were you can obtain, google for PST and buy MPT off ebay.

I have quite a few problems connecting V3 with USB to my desktop. Everything seems fine, then once the media browser loads its all greyed out on the phone side and gives connection errors if I try anything. Then it will just randomly work? Sometimes it never works at all...sometimes it works flawlessly...very random. Set it up on the laptop and it works fine? I'm confused.

You need to install MPT first and then you will need to install PST to get p2kman working. Dont even ask for PST, just google please icon_biggrin.gif
