Hey everyone, I have a bit of a problem and I hope someone who may have also come across it may help me out. I can use Motorola Phone Tools to transfer photos to and from my Motorola Slvr L2, but I have some issues when it comes to mp3s. I can open and edit mp3s in MPT, but when I try to save the file to my PC as an mp3 it gets messed up. The file does get saved, but it is only about 1 kb in size and contains no audio. This also happens when I try to save while having a section of the song selected. I figure I should just edit with Audacity, but I would like to be able to fix this glitch in MPT. Thanks ahead of time for any help you may offer.

Try reinstalling mpt. When you go to multimedia studio go to transfer files.Try there it has to work. You just select the file you want to transfer from phone and select option that transfers the file or can just do that selecting file with your mosue and getting it to a folder you want.

i recently got a razr V3c and my friend told me about Motorola Phone Tools so i got it, BUT it wont connect and all that happens is: a message pops up in the skin of my phone saying "Initializing... PLease wait..." that's it...nothing else, and then a small window saying something about my port. If there's anyone who can help me fix this and correctly install that Motorola program, i would really appreciate it,

motorola phone tools try following this steps:
Unninstall and install again mpt.
Remove motorola usb modem from control panel phone and modem options.
Install againg Motorola phone tools.
Plug your phone select install automatically when it says you to install motorola usb modem.
Go to motorola phone tools.
If it asks you to set up connection select usb or other connection if you are using.
If it says you too install or go to live update dont go there.
phone wiil be shown and in bottom of screen it will will be green colour and it will say you are connected.
Hint:If you dont see motorola usb modem in phone and modem options try pluging your phone into another port and installing it.
After that go to mpt.
Initialize please wait...phone connected and the green light comes in right corner.
The V3c is a bit of a special case - most CDMA providers cripple the phones multimedia abilities in order to try to force you into buying through them.
I believe you need to do some mods to the phone in order to reenable them - however I don't know the details.
I like the feature where the program only updates to the next version, and not to the newest version available. It's just so much fun to update, reboot, and then find out there's another update.
I'm not a software engineer, but it seems kind of silly

I'm sure its been talked about on here before but thats alot of reading. haha... I have a cingular razr v3 and my phone will connect to MPT but when I try and open Multimedia Studio I can't transfer files or anything because its "unable to find the mobile phone." But when I exit out of it my phone intializes again and it connects. I have version 4.3, could that be it? Should I go back to a earlier version? I've tried every USB port on my PC and I've tried reinstalling drivers and the such. I'm confused...

I'm new to MPT and am having problems getting online using my v190 as a modem. It seems everything is installed properly and it appears to connect at 115 kbs but when I open up any browser or program that uses the internet it wont connect. I have tried several programs and configurations but nothing has worked. I use both IE7 and Firefox. XP home SP2. Any help is most welcome, Thanks.
