Hi
Thanks for posting those links they are exactly what i need. I have just started looking into this remote control but what i have seen so far i like alot.
I'm confused though, the Key Map page you have linked bears no ressemblance to the codes generated by the HID editor. I have tried looking at the sony ericsson documents and the USB issued tables, but i got a little confused. Maybe a re-read is in order.... I'm not at my pc with the bluetooth dongle at the moment so haven't tested the output from the editor, but does anyone know which is correct?
cheers

Well the DEC and HEX codes are not required if you have the HID editor
i just add this site to see what keys you can put to the hid file

for example

if you want to put the Enter button to they 5 button of your phone
just find the empty case for the 5 button at hid editor and write
this Enter very simple icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah the editor is brill, but i was looking for a few other buttons thats all. Like many keyboards have a universal volume control which isn't application specific, it would be nice to add that and maybe the sleep button too.
I will keep looking....

Hi guys,

I was missing the default remote control files on my phone, and thanks to this thread I've now downloaded them... only thing now is, I don't know where to put them.

Once you've stopped laughing, any help (like the file path on the phone) would be appreciated :)

Cheers,

Scott

not sure where they end up, but i just send them to the phone and it works out where to store them. I have a bluetooth connection and i just drop the files on to the inbox, the phone will then ask if you want to save the file, say yes and it's ready to go.
hope this helps

Í'm trying ot get the remote function working on my pc, but it's still not working. I have a blue tooth adapter from Trust plugged in the usb port and I can exchange music and see the mapstructure of the telephone. So far so good. But when I want to enable the remote function, for let's say the desktop, it says that the connection failed. I don't have a clue what's causing this. I don't not have any other blue tooth functions open at that moment. Can anyone help me?

you will have to find out if your bluetooth dongle supports HID (human Inteface Device) profiles. My first dongle didn't but Belkin have replaced it for free with the later model. icon_smile.gif
Might also be worth checking that your firewall is disable for your bluetooth device.
good luck
