Hey all. I switched from ATT wireless to Cingular the day of the merger. So I pretty much switched from one service to the same exact service. You think they will waive the ATT $175 early termination fee?

well, they (cingular) said that u would not pay an early termination fee for switching service but since you did it on the exact same day as the merger its a lil hard to tell. but it was said that customers who switched from at&t to cingular would pay a discounted activation fee and no early termination so i would think that u would be fine.

That would be a negative.. They are going to charge you the ETF because the entire system has yet to be completely switched. You're looking more around November 15th for everything to be switched. You basically just ported your number to Cingular, rather than transferring service.
