Hi. I have a Nokia 6230. Just recently for some reason the ring tone has been ascending, even though it's not set to ascend. No matter what I do, I cannot stop the phone from ascending the tone when I get an incoming call. I have reset the phone, checked the profile settings and ring settings, nothing. Any suggestions?

Could it be that the tone itself is ascending? Checked that?

Nah, I checked that. The tone was fine for ages, and one day just started doing this. It does it to all tones. Very frustrating!

Bunch of informations.
Check out this one:

This is clearly a bug from Nokia.
The only solution is to power off/on the phone and not use the voice tag.
It worked for me. But again I have got a 6230i. It may be different with a 6230.

The ringtone seems to change to accending if you record a voice tag or use voice dialing. You have to re-boot the phone to get back to a non-accending ringtone. Must be a firmware bug since the Carphone warehouse tried 4 phones and they all did the same thing. My is only 1 week old so must have recent firmware. Hope this helps. Kevin
