I have a motorola v300 with tmobile...now I just found that the picture messaging is not compatible with no other service providers except for at&t. My question is....Will unlocking my phone make it compatible so I can recieve picture messages from a sprint phone..a lot of friends have sprint phones..and I like tmobile and don't want to change!!!

Sprint customers can only send picture messages to other sprint phones. No other service provider can send pics to sprint phones. If you want to send pics to ur friends then ur gonna have to switch to sprint! =|

If there is not a fee get the Motorola V300 handset unlocked anyway, take it to a retail T-Mobile not one of those kiosks and have the sales representative if it's not a busy time place an active sim card that service has picture messaging and place it in yours and then see if a picture message can be sent to that mobile number of the sim card in that handset
You can check the T-Mobile website for a store location near you, call first and check

you should be able to send and recieve picture messages from a sprint phone, i know they say your not supposed to but I have tmobile and my cousin has sprint and we can send pictures back and forth all day long.... just an FYI, you may want to try sending it to the phones email address rather than as just a message, that always works
