Hello again,
I have another dead V400 - only this one will not go into Bootloader. Keypad lights up, & that's it.
I got one to work, so i know it's possible. Any ideas?
By the way any idea what the voltage of the "button battery" on the circuit board is supposed to be? It's a Samsung, got 2 positive "marks" on it & I get abt. 2.34 volts. Good enough?
Thanks all.

Hi, I am very new to this stuff so someone pleeeease help: I have an unlocked Moto V620 and installed MPT with the USB drivers so my Modem Proeprties shows the modem selected, However when I open P2Kman it just opens the program and doesn't install the drivers that many say is supposed to install. I try installing it seperately by installing the P2Kman drivers from a diff. zip file, but still no go. Turned phone on n off, unplugged n plugged, uninstalled n reinstalled MPT and still nothing. The MPT prog. works perfectly but the P2Kman still says "phone not connected" PLEASE someone help and advise what I may be doing wrong? I really want to flash my phone and edit it with what P2Ktools has to offer. Thanks to any and all who can help.

Thanks for the reply. About 10 minutes after posting, I found a link that also had the PST 6.7 incl. the patch; apprently that's what I've been missing. Anywho thanks again, I was able to adjust some fo teh menu items with P2K Menu Editor as well as correct the VM notification icon. My next move is to search the forums for other changes I can make via SEEM editing.

Still one major question... is it worth upgrading the flex/flash on my V620? What are the pros n cons? If worth it, is there a monsterpack which lets me do it all in 1 shot? I curr. have the following info:

Flex: GSRV620T673DA070
S/W: R376_G_0E.65.25R
DSP: 62212100
Boot Loader: 07.E1

Finally, I read in some forums that its possible to make changes in the SEEM to: (1) use speakerphone w/clamshell closed (2)access recent calls and/or phonebook w/clamshell closed. Is it possible to do either of those? Thanks for the info. icon_biggrin.gif

1- First thing first does the tutorial for VXXX phones means that the V3 is included? Or different method there is to use to flash/Flex?

2- I am currently running on a T-Mobster stock video enable with :
flex= gsmv3xxTMB01NA106
S/W= R374_G_OE.42.09R

I already had a talk about my poor reception issue (some unrelated thread) with old fool who advised me, I quote:

"As for signal strenght , i have heard the new firmware 42.9CR does wonder on that so you may want to upgrade.
Note if you wish to unlock your fone do not flash it to boot loader 8.26 that firmware is compatable with bootloader 8.23 , but i guess is not matter much cuase you can alway down grade boot loader 8.26 to 8.23 to unlock!!"

a) is firmware advised 42.9CR is the same thing than my current one, 42.09R ??? if not, I coudlnt find this firmware anywhere unfortunately, anybody knows where to find it?

b) How can I check whether my phone is unlocked or not?

thanks you guys

To check if your fone is lock or not you need to have asim fron different service provider and insert it in. If it's saying " subsidy pass..." or " contact service provider" then your fone is lock, other wise it will accept that sim and you would be able to use it.
AS for the firmware i might have got the name little bit off so you might have get it already

I have done some SEEM editting etc.. to personalize my phone.

Can someone suggest which, if any, upgrades to my flex/flash would be of benefit to me??

I'm mainly interested in something bug-free/better RF reception/faster OS[smoother menus]

Was thinking that I may only need to upgrade my firmware and don't really need to upgrade my flex since I'm happy with the way I editted the seems....

Hi,
I have the V400 with Fido

Flex : GS9V400MCL01NA139
QUAD BAND GSM
TIPLETS_g_0B.09.2RF_A1
DSP Ver. 62D5C500

Same as you used to. I would like to upgrade it. Do you still have the Fido Flex files?
What is the major difference between the upgrade. I have read a lot but its all US Carriers. You are the first FiDO Carrier person who i have heard has done this. If you could please help me and send me the Flex/Flash files at saurabh21983@yahoo.com

Also, which program did you use to flex your v400. What are your recommednations for me.

Thanks,
Saurabh
