If you want video you also need to ensure a flash version of 40.90R or newer.
There is no actual need to flex - you can follow the guide at http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic35106.html
However if you really think a new flex is the way forward for you it really depends on if there is a flex available for your provider. If there is use that otherwise use the most recent stock version
Get them from http://www.planetmotox.net/flex.php or http://www.planetmotox.net/flexlash.php

Thx for your quick answer!
So,you're telling me that my razr with S/W Version R374_G_0E.40.3ER_A and flex version mentioned above doesn't need upgrade in order to enable the video capture mode,or the fact that i only have have to flash for a new S/W version?

Anyone have an idea why my T-Mobile branded V635 can't find any carrier's signal after I flashed it with the 6FR monsterpack? Is it possibly still locked to T-Mobile somehow, and if so why isn't it at least finding T-Mobile's signal?
Thanks!

I am new here, new for playing with cell phone and just got a RAZR V3 from Cingular with 2Y contract.
S/W: R374_G_0E.41.C3R_B
Flex Ver: GSMV3MYCIN01NA0F5....
H/W: SJUG1153DB
When I boot my phone with *and# holding, I find that the bootloader is 8.26
Sorry that I still have a question after I read F&Q and most Stick threads here.
1. Is the flash of my phone the best version? It looks like there is a R374_G_0E.42.09R there, is this better?
thx

There is a 42.10R reflash at
This is the latest flash version http://www.planetmotox.net/reflash_mlp.php
Tne mlp just means it won't overwrite your current language pack
