New to modding Motorola phones, have completely modified my samsung phone but wondering what would be a good firmware version to use when flashing my V600, The Aston Martin firmware always seemed like something cool. Just wondering if anyone has used it, what are the differences with the firmware and is there a different firmware that anyone would recommend?

this is such a newbie question but i have to ask... does it matter if you have your sim card in the phone when you flash/flex?

For standard practices you should have your sim card in the phone while flashing.

You can do it either way. Upon flash/flex, the phone will be in suspend mode.

One really beginner question... do I have to do BOTH flash and flex or is it enough to do just a flash AND what is a FLEX ?! Until now I got just a NOKIA with only a FW...

[BTW~ to get over the subsidy password (bush)
you just had to delete the secure_pds_init with p2k & set your own greeting, then restart phone icon_wacko.gif

Question, what do you mean by "set your own greeting"? Can you clarify? Can I skip this step, just delete the secure_pds_init, and then restart the phone?

so I thought removing that particular file from my phone using p2k, then restarting the phone would remove the subsidy password page, however it is still there. actually right now the phone says "contact service provider", but I think that will away if I leave the phone on for a while. Can anyone help? Was I supposed to do anything else besides remove that file? Thanks in advance.

I just tried flashing the 45R reflash on my V600 and it said "flash successfully". I forgot to unplug it and turn it back on and tried to flex it...not the phone won't power up at all. Any way to recover? Please help!
