I believe you cannot extract a flash/flex from a phone.

I don't recommend you to flash the V220 as one here did and messed up his phone twice. I do not have a V220 firmware nor do I think there is such one.

You will not to call your provider or motorola directly to unlock your phone. Motorola phones are not easy to unlock as you would need a smart clip to do it.

If you like, you can post your question here and wait for someone to answer.

Hey man,

You seem to know what you're talking about. I've got a v60i unlocked (gsm) and i'm using it on t-mobile. however, i'm unable to access the browser settings and therefore unable to use the browser. i understand that flexing the phone will enable me to access the browser settings. so my questions are:

1. Can I flex using a serial data cable or do i have to get USB?

2. I found the following flex files but have no idea which ones (if any) i should use. How do i know whether they are unbranded or legit, etc.?

protected Software and Firmware Motorola V60

Name Date Size

phx4_g_01.01.58r.rar 14-12-2003 00:00:00 7.2 MB

PHX4_G_01.01.58R_flash.zip 14-12-2003 00:00:00 3.47 MB

PHX4_G_01.05.02Rus.rar 14-12-2003 00:00:00 3.8 MB

phx4_g_01.05.14r.rar 14-12-2003 00:00:00 38.08 MB

PHX4HA_G_01[1].05.03R_lang0020_image.zip 14-12-2003 00:00:00 3.4 MB

ANY help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I can't tell you which files are legit or which ones will unbrand the phone. I've never work with the V60; therefore the files are new to me. I have not yet came across anyone upgrading their V60 firmware.

Mu suggestion is to search and find more info about which files will work for you. As far as the data cable is concern, I would use the usb data cable versus the serial.

Please post your end results; I would like to know how it went. Sorry If I wasn't much help....
