What you need to do is delete the following files from /a/mobile/audio:
MyToneDB.db
TempToneDB.db
Then you upload whatever ringtones you want into the aforementioned audio folder and it should work. |
HEEELP!!!
I erased those files... and now my phone has NO RINGTONES at all!! I have a V330, and I've been trying to upload ringtones, so I read everything (almost), and when I finally uploaded an mp3, it went directly to the Sounds directory, and then I choose Apply it as ringtone, but it didn't work at all... so I read this, and I erased those files, but now each time I want to go to the ringtone directory, it's gone!!
Someone please help meeee, I'm new to all this! |
After this... I think ( ) I turned off my phone... and then when I turned it back on, all the ringtones where there, and even the one I uploaded!!! and now it shows in the Sounds menu AND the Ringtone menu. But now that I've been trying to upload other mp3s, it does the same thing, shows in the Sounds menu, but not on the Ringtone, so I can't use it as Ringtone.
Another question, on the P2K, under Phone Control it says "Restart Phone", that will erase everything I've uploaded?
Thanks for the help!

Use MPT to upload MP3's as p2kman doesnt work very well. Restart phone just reboots your phone doesnt erase anything its basically like a power cycle.

Ok, I found a solution to my problem, maybe it can work for someone with the same problem.
I just deleted the 2 db files in the audio folder and shutdown/restart the phone.
Good luck to everyone!

I am new to using the p2kman and need a little help. I downloaded a mp3 file into my v220 but did not put it in the audio folder. It went to a generic folder and when I tried to delete it I got this message:
Deleting file /a/12/speed of sound.mp3GENERIC FAILURE
fail!
Is there a way to remove this?

Is it saying that your phone is connected in the bottom left hand corner of p2kman when it says this?

*THAT* was the step that I was missing. Kingtz, you are a god among insects.
