? for ya, do you have microsoft office loaded on the computer??? If you do uninstall it and then install MPT and then reinstall Office. I know it sounds stupid but their is a issue with MPT and Outlook and the problem is that once office is installed you have to TOTALY uninstall it and then install MPT for it to work.

Ok, I have a V600 with T-Mobile and I have been trying to get MPT to work for me via USB. I have read about four threads on here related to this and tried everything that has been posted to no avail.
I am starting off with mpt1.23, then updating myself to 3.11.
After installing and rebooting my computer, I let XP notice the new hardware and install the driver from C:\PROGRAM FILES\MOBILE PHONETOOLS, I believe I am having a problem here as it tells me there is no better driver for my device and I think XP is sticking me with a generic driver.....
Moving on.....
With all this done I try to run MPT, where as I get my generic skin and get stuck on "Initializing........." This is remedied by going through Setup and New Phone. I do this, choose the V600 and voila! I have the proper skin, but get stuck back on "Initializing........." I tried hitting F6 for the options menu, turning the Send/Receieve function on and still I get nowhere. I have tried multiple times to turn the phone on/off, no help. Even uninstalled and reinstalled everything 4 times.
Help........... PLEASE! If there is something I am missing clue me in if you could.

Go to device manager and find you fone modem. click update and chose specific location, this time pionted to C:\program\MPT\inf. try that and keep posting.

I did try to update the driver using the inf file extension, it also told me that no newer driver was found. The multi center does light up and is accessible to me.
