I own a Motorola T730 and I've been trying to install ringtones, graphics, games etc. when i started to use my phone today, I noticed that under ring styles, I could not change the Ring Details for the Loud setting. I select it and hit change, and it goes back to the previous screen. All of the others 'profiles' could be changed. Any Suggestions?

Thanks. icon_cry.gif

Did you edit your phone using a data cable or deleted a ring tone that was set to the loud style?

Try doing a master clear from the phone.

Yes I was tinkering with the datacable, using PST & EMS manager. But no I didn't remove a ringtone that was associated with the 'loud' setting. I have not tried a master clear.... How do I do this, and what will be the results... everything deleted? phone numbers and all?

Thanks.

Just doing a master clear may not do anything. But it is suppose to re-create your ring styles.

The proper way is to delete the temptone.db & mytone.db file under p2kman.

There should be an initial settings in your phone. Look for master clear and follow the prompt. You will need the security code. By default it is 000000

Hey Marvin, I have the same problem! I duuno why but its weird. I would go to "Personalize" then "Ring Style" then try to change the detail but it would bring me back to the "Personalize" Menu. The only one that worked was the "Vibrate" profile ...

that is until I tried what duceduc suggested which was to delete those two files in the audio folder .. I restarted and bam it works icon_biggrin.gif

Now how do I make my V400 ring and vibrate at the same time just like my ancient Nokia 3390 phone. Is this possible? I've noticed that my V400 vibrates for 3 seconds first then plays the ringtone, I want them both done simutaneously.

Not sure if that is possible azn_furyz.
This might work is someone hacked the offset code.
Search here for the code, if any.

You can get to the master clear by going to Menu, Settings, Initial Setup, Master Clear

Ok, I just started playing with this thing 2 days ago. So i'm a newbie... where can i find a copy of P2kman? A website would suffice, or it could be emailed. I've done some searching for it and come up basically empty.... The other thing I am concerned with is that i'm running PST v7 on XP with Service Pack 2.

Ok for the link for P2Kman. Thank Duceduc for that one since he gave it to me. But there are concerns with sp2 on most of these programs but you should be okay running PST.

Well, I wanted to post a Big Thank you.... I deleted those two files, and did a master reset..... NOT the master clear... the master clear would have wiped out everything.

Onto my next step / question Is there one or two references that someone can point me to so that I can learn how to tweak with this phone?

Thanks again!
