I use sound forge, but you can use any generic audio editor.
I take my 20-25 second MP3 clip and resample it at 41,000.
Then save it to 32 kbps bit rate in mono.
Then I upload t the phone and im good to go.

Power MP3 Cutter is the easiest and quickest.
Set the bitrate to 40kbps for your ringtones.
They will sound pretty good and they wont take up much space.

I've tried 32 and 40 kbps, transferred the file to the phone, but when trying to play it, the phone says 'File corrupt'. On the PC it works fine. Any idea?
Thanks in advance

I use an online tool makeownringtone . com It's a little buggy but mostly gets the job done.
