This device is pretty nifty. I enjoy everything except: Can't use Bluetooth with the Mac for data transfer, Can't change the themes, Can't have all IM services running at the same time without having to buy third-party software, Can't sync with the mac without having to purchase PocketMac, Can't view attachments in e-mail without having to purchase more software... You see what I mean? I am fortunate, I guess, to have both my mac (that I love) and a PC (that I hate) to help with this BB.
Why do I say T-Mobile Support is the pit of Hades?
I had my 7100t for 6 days before it broke on me. It was stuck in an hourglass mode... The in-store reps couldn't fix it and when they called their own customer/tech support, they couldn't get any help. The poor fella was on the phone for an hour before he handed the phone to me so that I could write down an address to send my phone to. Which turns out was the wrong address. I have spent days, hours, and dreams, calmly fighting for an exchange phone and all I got was lies and the run-around. They lost my phone during all of this and they wouldn't send me a new phone until they found it. I was stuck in an Inferno. When I got a reasonable address to send it to, I sent the phone insured with delivery receipt confirmation. Even with the USPS tracking number I gave them which proved it arrived at it's T-Mobile returns destination, they kept telling me that I had to wait... With no phone... Which I use for home, personal, and business... I finally just told them to order me another phone - which meant that I was to be billed for two phones and hope that when they figure out what happens with the other phone, they will credit my account. By this point, my contract was already well past the 14 day period and if I could terminate, I certainly would. The amount of strife and frustration is totally beyond imagination. They hung up on me several times, even! I ended up sending letters to all the Pres & Vice Presidents, Directors of T-Mobile, their Media Relations and their Customer Relations department. No response. I filed a complaint with the BBB. They have reviewed and accepted my complaint and sent it to T-Mobile as a case number.
If anyone has a problem... Expect the worst from their Customer Care. Be warned!! It is Hades!! If ya ever have a problem with a defective phone, expect to break that point of screaming and crying.

most likely the sales rep didnt contact the correct support T-Mobile actually has seperate tech support divisions for blackberry and pda devices if you still need assistance call 611 on your phone and ask to be transfered to the blackberry tech department or the WDG

also, not to mention you have a 1 year warranty on your phone... so you can exchage it for the same model anytime within that year... and also, if t-mobile has such horrible customer service, how come we were voted best customer service by JD Power and Associates for 2004?? If you had to deal with other company's customer service for the same problem you would cry and scream until you died

I highly suggest you file a complaint with the FCC... I've been with T-mobile for three years and have had to two times... this is the only time T-mobile has been responsive as they have to suffeciently attempt to resolve complaints or get fined by the FCC. You can fill out an electronic complant at :

http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/cib/fcc475.cfm

T-mobile most likely has received good customer service awards because many people that have bad experiences want to get off the phone and don't want to endure a voluntary survey.

The biggest problem I have had with T-mobile is that just about any problem I have encountered can NEVER be resolved by tier 1 and tier 2 support... I suspect T-mobile doesn't invest enough resources in training these levels of support to effectively troubleshoot issues.

T-mobile,s customer service is the best by fare.I know this because they have sent me 5 new phones three of those phones were to late to stop shiping after i orderd and the either 2 were not working they were broke.these thing,s happen sometimes yet T-mobile works hard for every customer and that is for sure.Im not a cheerleader for T-mobile that is for sure but I can say this.Ive been throught many cell phone company,s as we all have and T-mobile is the only company to step up and get it done.Im happy .there the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......ps T-mobile better find the razr moto phone .thats a sweetttttttttttt phone.we need one of those at T-mobile

I got my blackberry last week .very nice phone/pda.....yet it is missing many things a phone should have in 2004
1) support is bad very bad.no help can come from blakberry support.they have a hard time understanding, speaking and there as fare as the device they support
2)bluetooth is very clear for earbud and thats all
3)here is the kicker......your blackberry can not be used as a modem for laptop use
That being said .....I take back what i sad above.the device and the overseas support for the device does not belong at T-mobile.it,s was A upgrade to my v300 and the upgrade only cost me 160 bucs.
I LOSE!!!!!!!!!!! DONT BE A LOSER TO ........DONT BUY THE 7100T BLACBERRY
