Right... at the moment i've got my contacts on my sim as well as my phone and the phone book displays both. I can't find the option so that it shows phone only contacts. is that possible on this phone? i know other phones can.

Thx

I dont know if that's possible. On an unrelated note... is this possible on V600?

I believe it will show both sim and phone contacts together.

i too am having this problem. i just received my new motorola v505 in the mail and i can't use the features that are included if you use the phone's memory as opposed to the sim's memory without having to see the names displayed twice.

i called motorola and they told me to check with attws because it was a "sim" issue. i called attws and they told me they didn't know what to do. if anyone has an answer that would be greatly appreciated!

Try using "Categories" in the phonebook menu.

I had this problem too and it was driving me nuts....creating a separate entry for every number, the way to get sround this can be found on page 51 of the user guide...sort of. You have to go into edit for each multiple entry, and change where it says "save to SIM" to "PHONE" if you've already copied your sim to your phone, it will say somehting like "entry John smith already exists" go ahead and press ok or done. then once you have all john smiths numbers saved under one entry you have to go and delete the extra entries.....its a real pain in the ass, and I think I actually had to take them off the SIM, but since the sim tools are disabled ( thank you cingular nlnn) i dunno. but now when I go into my address book, I only see a name once, and I can click on it and press the down arrow to go to the other numbers I have for that person.

I've tried the above post for multiple numbers on a single listing (business, cell, fax for instance). I still end up with a distinct seperate listing for each number. Yes - I'm saving to PHONE, not SIM. Wish you could view more than 3 listings on the screen.

Found the "LIST" view (instead of photo view) ... I'm a happy guy. I'd be happier if I could see ONE name for multiple phone numbers listing. Help?
