SP2 is a service pack 2 that Microsoft release as a fix for XP. You need not install it if you don't want to.
However, if you have it install. I was saying that the SP2 has a built in BT driver install already. Thus, when you install your BT device and driver, Windows doesn't allow it. If you notice by going to:
Right click my computer, propeties, hareware, device manager, Bt device or maanger, you will notice it is a generic driver from MS. You will need to update that BT driver with the correct one that cam with your BT dongle.
To do this. RIght click on the first BT device under device manager. Click on update driver and follow to prompt. Make sure you select "I will search the driver myself" tab. It should be there provided that you have try to install the cd driver previously.
Verify the new driver by going back to device manager.
It should work if its there.

Let's start over. You have a BT dongle with a cd driver? You cannot connect between the phone and the BT dongle, correct? You have XP as your operating system.
I hope this is correct.
Do this.
Uninstall everything. Bt driver under device manager and any software that you install with that cd. Reboot.
Insert cd and install driver. Reboot if prompt. Plug BT dongle in your usb port. It should self installl the driver.
(If not and a new device windows pops up, direct it to the driver by clicking on 'find new driver myself'. You should see your bt driver in the next windows.)
Finish connecting the phone as you previous did. Let see if that works.

Ok, I did everything again. I got a message from the "Found New Hardware Wizard". It said it couldnt install the "Bluetooth device" because the required section was not found in the INF. What does that mean? Before, The computer didnt even recognize the adapter. now it says this. this sucks....Any hope?
