I know this might sound like a wierd question, but is there any way (flash, flex, hex, unlock) to turn a NEXTEL powered phone (MOTOROLA i860, i730,i95) to work with other networks such as TMOBILE. I am not interested in the beeping, because I find it rather annoying and could live without it, I just like the style of i860, which I can get from my friend for $100... It would be great if I could get this phone to work with TMOBILE>.. any suggestions?

Not sure if that is possible. You can try inserting your sim card into the nextel phone and see if you are able to use it.

The hacked codes that I have posted in several of the threads are for Vxxx phones. I am not certain if they are compataible.

I don't think its possible to use your gsm sim card with a nextel phone. Nextel phones use i800DEN.

You can try inserting your sim cards in the i860 phone and see it it reads it. However, you would need to unlock it first.

Becase they use different system they don't borther to lock it, I don't think they lock it put a other provider sim on u'll see it say no severice instead of asking for subsidy code,so i took that as a hind that they don't lock it , this is the i730 that i have test on. icon_rolleyes.gif

Also with nextel you have to have the SIM programed with that model phone. My brother has Nextel and he had a base model. When he upgraded to the i730 it wasn't working correctly. He brought it in and they programed the phone to the SIM and it started functioning fully. Plus they use a different system than any other phone company. So to answer your question no I dont think that its possible.

It is not possible to use iDen phones with any carrier other than Nextel or Boost Mobile. The networks are completly different and there is no way to do it.

I have nextel service on an i710 phone but I have a V600 that I would like to use. Does anyone know any way that I can make my Nextel service work in the V600? I have already put the SIM card in there and I think it reads it to a certain extent because it shows my name and phone number but the service says Nextel Emergency Only. Your help is appreciated. Thanks
