Ok ladies and gents.... I wish these threads would be constant...
Let's try this... let's say I were to take a V220 right out of a box what would i need/do/find... to get mp3's pic's and other thing to my phone from my computer... I"ve wasted alot of time looknig fer answers online so hopfully someone will take pity on me and help!!

What you need to transfer files to pc from computer:
Usb data cable -ebay
Mobile Phone Tools -BVRP
mp3 editing software -(mp3 cutter)
Look in motorola tutorial for how to's

No, it is not a shareware.
MPT is a software which allows you to transfer ringers, wallpaper, sync phonebook listing, send sms messges, mms message, use as a modem, plus.

OK so no matter what I"ll have to purchase this product? Or you can't promote any shareware or free stuff in the forum...
So what steps do I take, I thiink I have Maj_mobilePhoneTools.rar and mobilePhoneTools_2.21b_US... but everytime it installs it says "The installation program was unable to find on your PC a BVRP previously installed version"
Also i appreciate you getting back to me so fast... I really confused about this bvrp and pst and what not in the forums...

MPT is merely a software for transfering files. PST, however, is far more advance than MPT. It allows you to flash/flex your phone to a different firmware/software. It can be use to unlock phones, but you will need to have smart clip to go with it.
As far as these softwares are concern, we feel it is warez and are prohibited in this forum.

You think they could make it as simple as transfering music files from your computer to a music file on your phone... and same with pictures
So let me get this right all I really need is MTP?
And what would I download so my computer picks up my phone and installs the drivers?

Dude, you need basic MPT 1.23 it sound like you have down load a updated verson that is why it is saying that you don't have a previous verson. Finding this stuff it is hard because almost every forum feel it is a warez so link and lead to it are very rare to find, but it is could be as easy as tun on your email profile dude. But what do i know I'm an old fool  maybe i change my sign to that  . Good luck dude

Well thanks to this great message board I did manage to get MBT and get it to work cept now my problem is I can't play the mp3 files i send over.. I edit the files with nero wav editor if that has anything to do with it. But so far the pics I send over are good! 
If anyone could gimme some tips I'd appreciate it. It always asks me to delete it or something..
Once again just remember what my nick is I'm really new to cell phone software.

It is in pm3 if not you may want to change it to mp3 format then cut your rate down to 128 or lower see if that help
