Who has the HBH30 or the Jabra wireless headsets? And what is you experience. About a two weeks ago I bought a HBH30 from Ericsson, thinking that ordering it from them was the only way I could get it. But today I bought the Jabra wireless for bluetooth from bestbuy. I have had about a little over a week with the ericsson one and I love the technology but to be honest it seems like a real pain to put the thing on over my ear especially since I am always wearing oakleys sunglasses when I drive and that is the only place that I really can find use for the headset. Now I just bought the Jabra tonight and have only tried it out in the house but it seems to be a little bit clearer and also much easier to put on, plus since the battery pack is placed more under you ear rather than directly behind it I have no problem with any of my oakleys fittng me with the Jabra on. But tomorrow will be the real test on how well this thing works over the Sony Ericsson HBH30. One thing I really do like about the HBH30 though is that I can use the same home and car charger to charge it that my t68i uses. I got the Jabra at a local computer store brand new only cost me $99 while the sony one after paying shipping and handling cost me well over $200!!! I am willing to pay a lot extra for performance but so far I don't see $100 more worth of performance!!! Maybe tomorrow when I actually get the Jabra out in the field.
BTW, on both the Jabra and Ericsson the instruction manuel said to record the voice dialing commands through the headsets for better performance and voice recognition. But I can seem to get the phone to allow me to do this although I have been able to a couple of times on accident so I do know that it is possilbe, I guess I just don't know the procedure on doing this, does anyone have any solid help for me?
Thanx.

While I haven't use the Jabra headset, I can say that I am more than happy with the Sony Ericsson HBH-30. It is quite difficult to put it on with one hand, but when you get used to it, it becomes routine. I haven't had any problems with it, and it's loud and clear. I wish I could give you more information, but honestly I can't find any major flaws with it. Personally I like the way it looks better than the Jabra also.

Well after a couple of days of use of the Jabra and two weeks use of the Sony Ericsson HBH30. I found that the Jabra is a much better unit, fits the ear better, allows for sunglasses and regular glasses to fit on your ear. But must importantly the sound quality is much better and the mic picks up far less ambient noise. With my HBH30 in order to make a voice call I would have to turn my car stereo all the way down and roll up my window, and then usually if I was lucky on the first try the phone would recognize my voice command, it would usually get it after two to three tries. Now the Jabra right off the bat picked up on my voice commands even with my stereo on(not at a loud volumn) and my window down at freeway speeds!!! Everyone that I talk over the phone with also commented that the Jabra sounded much better than the HBH, most said that they could not tell the difference between me calling with the jabra and with just the handset, while everyone could tell when I was using the HBH. Also the Jabra is much louder than the HBH30 and can be put on with one hand and is far more comfortable. The carrying holster for it is small and not very noticable unlike the big knife like sheath that comes with the HBH. One thing I do like better on the HBH over the Jabra was the ability to use the regular Ericsson car and home charger to charge it with. While the jabra requires to be put in it's carrying case to be charged by a six volt 300ma charger with a regular nokia type plug.
All in all the Jabra is a better unit and it costs almost $100 less than the HBH30. With all that in mind I will stick to the Jabra and my extra $100. Plus the Jabra for bluetooth and nonbluetooth phones can be picked up at any local Radio Shack, BestBuy or CompUSA(watch it with them if you use it they will hit you with a 15% restocking fee!)! The HBH30, at least in this city of over 2,000,000 people, has to be mail ordered!
PS I still can't get eiither one to let me record my voice commands directly through the headset, can anyone help?

Excellent observations The Shark! I've only used Sony Ericsson and Motorola Bluetooth headsets, but I will be sure to keep Jabra in mind when I look for a new one! Maybe you should write a review on it for Mobiledia.

Hi, I just bought my phone with a Jabra headset, and one thing I have to mention, is that it fits perfectly inside my motorcyle hammer because it is around the ear, not on top like SonyEricsson one.
I think it's a mistake to pay more than 2x the SonyEricsson one

You have to press the call button on the HBH just as the phone is about to prompt you for the command or name to be recorded. you will hear the tone in the HBH instead of the phone. just record the audio and listen to the playback, after which the BT connection will cease for that session. easy!

I know these posts are a year later than the OP, but:
I bought a BT200 after my Sony HBH30 decided to fall apart on me. 3 things I do _not_ like about the Jabra:
1. the BT range sucks. unless the phone is directly underneath the headset on the same side of my body, it loses the connection, or reception is severly degraded - in contrast to my into the next room BT range on the HBH.
2. although the audio is loud, it wasn't until i modified the earpiece (with heat) and shaped it to fit so it would actually channel the audio into my ear, i had to press a finger on the "gel" in order to hear the call in a louder environemnt.
3. voice answer (on my T-68m) doe't not work
