Great ! this is the opotunity to realy test the OPCODE, so this fone much be sale in ASIA or EUROP. Oh i just realize there is something not right about this the V180is a quardband fone so all you have to do is go into network and set it to 850/1900 instead of 900/1800 or just set it to auto detect. But if for some reason you can't do that then there is a post in the forum it is a sticky look for top pic of TIP &TRICK for Vxxx there is a section talk a bout how to punch in a set of code directly to your fone and force chang the bandwidth.

Notice for OPCODE to change bandwidth it say GSM so any motorola GSM fone will work. Now also It might first need 2 to 4 hours to get it working, charge you battery full have you fone on searching for net work and live it at that for up to 4 hours. It took my T720 2hours to finaly change from 900/1800 to 850/1900.

hey there,
when i leave it searching after entering the code
what do i do?
do i shut it off or leave it on and let it search for network. I did both but it only searches for a minute then it stops.
So how do i get it to search for that for like two hours?
thanks in advance
BTW do you know if there's any updated information to this?
thanks

How can you find what band your phone is currently running on. I think mine is only running uni-band. 1900 only is that ok?

Ok this is a quarband fone you should not need to to this. Go to network and than network set up should now see what bandidth it is on and there is a type to let you chose you band by auto or pick you band try that
