both my husband and i have AT&T service and live in the seattle area. his service calling from our house is okay, mine is spotty at best. i can't make or receive a call to anyone in kirkland. my mom lives in bellingham, and i get a really bad echo a lot of the time when i call her from my cell phone. not worth it for what i pay every month!!

I've used AT&T for several years now, and have a lot of service issues with them. My normal range area for use is Bellevue to Bellingham. Dropped calls, reception not great are my two biggest problems. I don't have an extremely new phone, but on the other hand it's not ancient either.

I was happy to read that you've had good experiences with T-mobile 'cause i'm going to switch to another carrier when my current contract with AT&T is up.

Hopefully this msg isn't too late, whatever you do, do not get ATT service just because of the phone. Go with an unlocked phone. The coverage of T-Mobile is definately bigger than ATT's. T-Mobile has the largest GSM network. Unless you really need some of the mMode features, sticking with T-Mobile is the best way to go, they are continually expanding their networks also, and even though ATT is also, they aren't as big yet so it's better to stick with T-Mobile for at least another year.
