I have a Cingular service - Siemens C61 phone with a Fast Forward Cradle (FFC). Until two weeks ago, it worked fine (all units are less than 3 months old). Then, it stopped forwarding calls. I've talked with our business rep and business tech support and we've done the following without success.
1. replaced the phone and FFC.
2. had Cingular remove and reinstall the FFC feature on my phone
3. gone through the steps listed in the troubleshooting which came with the FFC.
Any ideas?

I have no idea what to suggest. My wife has been using it for months sucessfully. I travel a fair bit for work, and its nice that when she's home, I can call her mobile (it shows up as M2M on my bill), and its "free" ($2.99/month is not free, I know...) on hers. Definitely a great option for us!
Hope you get it working.

Not quite sure why this little feature hasn't taken off through the roof but it saves me quite a few minutes a month. The craddle for my Nokia 6340i was working fine until recently. I called Cingular Tech Support and they put me throught he paces. It didn't fix the problem. I took the craddle to the Cingular store where I bought it and they couldn't help either. They didn't even have any of my type in stock. I called Cingular again and nothing. I haven't had this sort of a problem since I bought a Beta instead of a VHS machine and we all know how that worked out.

Motorola V400, been working for over a year and it just stopped forwarding as well. I've power rest everything. I just hate calling customer service because I usually end up with the village idiot.

I did get this fixed by going to a higher level tech support. They found the problem was that text messaging had been turned off to my account(I don't use it and didn't want it). What they hadn't known until then (even the advanced tech support guy) was that text messaging must be turned on for FFC to work, even though you don't use it. This makes sense now since the way FFC works is it sends a text message to forward or unforward a call. Turning off text messaging prevents the FFC from working.
I hope this helps others, since Cingular obviously hasn't passed it on to its regular support divisions.

I don't know why Fast Forward isn't promoted more heavily - it's great.
But sometimes when I press the Cancel button on the cradle the unit starts flashing the "error" light and beeping. Sometimes I walk past it and discover the error light flashing. Sometimes it happens when docking it when I return the phone to the cradle.
I need to remove the phone, reseat it and try again. Anyone have any idea why this happens or how to fix it?
Thanks

Reviving this old thread about Cingular Fast Forward cradle, since I am now in the market for a new Cingular phone.
Is the Fast Forward cradle still available for phones, like it was for my (now 2+ yr old) Motorola?? If so, which phones?
I love the feature and after some various techy glitches early, it has now worked fine for months.
The FF Cradle availability will be a major decision maker for my next phone.
Appreciate any help.
