I have just bought a Sony Ericsson K500i and after 2 days when i turned my phone on the message appears "Configuration error. Please contact your network operator or service center." I've heard the d-set thing or reseting the phone, what's that mean? I really need the solution on how to fix this. Can anybody help me? thanks

Try use the Master Reset option and completely reset your phone (firstly backup everything of course).
If it doesn't work that do what your phone says, contact your network operator.

I cannot enter the menu, so how can i master reset the phone? Because when you start-on the phone the Cofiguration error message appears... Just tell me the complete steps on how to fix it. I really need your help to fix it. Thanks for your reply...

You could try to use another sim-card to try entering your phone.
I'm sorry that I can't give you 100% support of this because I've never had this before with my phone.

But how to manually full factory reset, can anybody give me the codes how, the unlock codes for sony ricsson K500i...help please!!!

I am having the same problem with my W300i I suddenly got an error saying "Configuration Error, Please contact Network operator or service control".. Is there anyone that can help out with this ? I am running helpless now, its been almost 3 days and I cant use my phone, the annoying part is, its only 1 week old
help plz

it is a phone issue and it is better to contact your local s.e. service center.

I have had the same prob with my w300i, i contacted orange who said the phone is knackered basically and they sent me a new phone, but now the new phone wont recognise the sim card, it asks you to insert sim, again phoned orange who refererred it to their tech dept, who take 24-48hrs to get back to you, the overall impression is the sim card is now knackered, 4 days without a phone now. If you issues their answer is t give you a new phone but still waiting to actaully find out why this happened in the 1st place, contact you operator is the only solution so far to this issue
