obviously take it back. get a new one or get it fixed. do you have phone insurance from cingular or do you just have the warranty for the phone.

geetarandsushi,
As of right now there is no way way to block private calls from a cellular phone. I've heard that it is in the works but hasn't been made possible yet. The best thing to do right now is to just either not answer them and let voicemail pickup or if you are like me and have to know who is calling just answer and if it is not someone you want to talk to just let them know.

I am new to this forum and have a question about Cingular CT. coverage. I live in New Milford and wonder if the coverage is as good as one of my friends claim and if it stays in digital and does not analog roam...Thanks

Carisma,
Why in the world did you resurrect this old thread? Please, in the future, start a new thread!
From the user manual, available at AT&T device support page:
To change the ring tone
1. On the Phone screen, tap Menu > Options > Phone tab.
2. In the Ring tone list, tap the sound you want to use.
To use custom *.wav, *.mid, *.mp3, or *.wma files as ring tones, use ActiveSync on your PC to copy the files to the /Windows/Rings folder on your device. Next, select the sound from the Ring tone list. For more
information about copying files to your device, see ActiveSync Help on your PC.
Peace,
Jacob M.
