Did anyone notice that the person who started the thread never made another post? Funny thing is, people keep posting more questions. Thankfully at this time there are MANY people who work for Cingular Customer Care now who can assist in answering those questions.

Can some one tell me what's going on with ATT service? I am sitting in Denver or Boulder or any other Metro area in Colorado and I can watch my signal strength bars go from 6 to 4 to 3 to 2 to 1 then none and a message only 911 calls. Then with out doing anything the bars go back up. I will be on a call and get dropped and look no signal I close my phone and re open it then I have all my bars.
This has started in Mid June and has happened on the razer and now on a New Sync

I recently switched to a Chocolate on Verizon, my parents however are waiting for their two year contract to end. Even though i switched to Verizon, reception was still bad, I was able to change my NAM to an Alltel tower nearby and reception is great! Is there a way to change my parents' V3s to use the Alltel tower, if so does it charge as roaming?

If you're roaming off an Alltell tower as a Verizon customer, that means Alltel is CDMA technology. AT&T uses GSM, it's a completely different kind of technology.

Short answer: Nope. Not gonna happen.

Shhhh! Don't give BigRUSS crap about his spelling, he gets all pissy.

Nevermind. It's actually kind of funny when he does.

---------------------

As far as your question goes, try going to www.wireless.att.com/support , go to "Phone/Device Support", select your device (or a make/model that looks close) and search for Media Net settings. See if you can change them. If you can't, try calling customer care, though pretty much all they're going to do is try to set those settings and then tell you "sorry, we can't promise that data will work on unlocked devices". Unless you get a good rep, then there's a couple other things that can be tried.

Edit: I'm bored. Here's the direct link: http://www.wireless.att.com/support/knowledgeBase.do?content=KB53461.h tml

Edit edit (this is why you don't post things twice!): I just saw your other thread response. So what I said earlier isn't going to help. If it's not letting you change the settings, try making a new profile (use right hand soft key, "Options", on the step where it says to select Media Net). If it doesn't let you do that, call LG. (800) 793-8896. If they can't help you, you're pooched unfortunately.

While BigRuss might be misspelling words in this forum, he is perfectly correct in asking you not to post multiple threads. Your reply is uncalled for and makes the mistake of being both rude and wrong - especially given that he was quite polite in his request.

This is NOT a part of AT&T nor a service that you have paid for. You don't have rights to do whatever you want here. If you want a prompt answer, try calling AT&T or LG. Otherwise be polite, use our forums according to our standards and wait - just like everyone else here.

I'm guessing that an apology probably won't be forthcoming, but its terribly frustrating to see regular board members be treated badly, especially when they put great effort into maintaining our community.
