Hi nisha, i'm.....really......confused, ok if i get a triband phone that supports 900/1800/1900, will my cingular coverage be worsE? because some people say theres no roaming charges, so ill just be on tmobile network where cingular isnt available so that means i wont have reception problems right? oh and one more question, someone told me 15 new phones are going to be available monday the 15th, is that true? its ok if you cant answer but i was just wondering. THANKS!

hi, i recently bought a LG C1300 on a Nights and Weekends Pay-as-you-go plan. Its a very nice phone. I have been having some problems, seemingly from sms. I cannot log on to aim(yes this is a service on the phone) when i have the correct password, it times out. If i have the incorrect password, it say invalid password. When I attempt to get a password from the KiC service, it never receives the message. I can send messages to my email address though. Any help would be appreicated, thanks.

yes, b/c you won't be able to use the 850 band. why? a 1900 signal will degrade faster over distances than an 850 signal, that's just the physics of it.

again, you'll have reception where there is 1900 coverage whether it be on tmobile or att (now cingular).

Phone Model: Nokia 6820b (from ATT)
Service Provider: Cingular (was ATT) |

Why do I have to buy a new phone if I switch from ATT Wireless to Cingular? You sell the same phone as mine, Nokia 6820. My current 6820 works perfectly fine on Cingular and ATT Wireless networks. All I should technically have to do is get a new SIM card and change which provider my phone is locked for, or just unlock the damn thing.
I bought this phone with ATT Wireless service just a few weeks ago for $150, and Cingular wants to charge me $300 for a new one.
Why are you screwing ATT customers like this?

duceduc, this option uses regular sms messaging from what i noticed on my bills not wap. the person using yahoo messenger first sends the message to your phone number and you receive it as an sms message. when you reply to that message, you're replying via sms message to the original sending number. cingular's website says the charge is .10 a message doing this if you dont have a messaging plan, which is the charge of a regular sms message w/o a plan.

Phone Model: Sony Ericsson T306
Service Provider: Cingular |

Hi Nisha,
I was curious about what is Cingular's phone unlocking policy. I have a Sony Ericsson T306, and am in the SW Ohio region. I know that my phone is locked because my friend's T-Mobile SIM doesn't work in my phone. I called up Cingular customer service, and the lady seemed lost when I asked her about unlocking phones. She had absolutely no idea what I was rambling about. Well, does anyone know where to call up Cingular and get the unlocking codes?
On a side note... I have wanted to use my cellphone as a regular modem, and wanted to enable CSD (Circuit Switched Data). Where/who do I call to do this? Thanks for any and all the help u can provide...
