Well, it looks like the votes for t-mobile being damn good outweigh the votes for it sucking. As for me, I am with t-mobile all the way. I have been a customer for 3 years and have been on a month by month payment plan for a year. Last month I signed a new 1 year contract and they gave me a V330 with the bluetooth headset for $97! On top of that, the customer service rocks, and my 3000 whenever minutes for 49.99 feels like unlimited. T-Mobile is a great company and I will stick with them until a new company comes out that offers free money and free cell phone service...

Like any other service provider that sucked in the past, give it some time. Tmobile is coming out with personal cell sites that will give you instant coverage in your home. I bet you'll love the 1000 minutes for half the price then.

PS there is a new company coming out that offers free service and gives you money every month, its called In Your Dreams Wireless

T-Mobile's coverage is weak in my area (Poconos), and Cingular's is fairly strong, but Cingular is flat out overpriced. I've been with T-Mobile for 3 years as of last month, and although coverage is spotty, I can not complain about their customer service or reception when you do have a signal. Their network is getting better and better daily, and I'll probably be with T-Mobile for a long time. I can understand the anguish of not having a signal sometimes, but do you really NEED a signal everywhere?

*has a T610. Is overly tolerant of having no signal* You can't expect to have a signal everywhere, it just isn't possible.

The only reason I'm with T-Mobile is because they take care of me. I call up a CSR and go "hi, I'm having a problem..." and they go "I'd be more than happy to help you fix it."

I have t-mobile and rates are very attractive. However, you're right when it comes to coverage. I have roam free national service so I should be able to use my phone anywhere. Not so! Antennas are leased from other providers where t-mobile does not have any. But, not all the antennas! Only certain amounts. Many an occasion has been where I have no service (no roaming either) and my companions talk away. Of course, they pay more for their service. I say that's why I have roam free because I have no service to roam.

I'd like to know how you managed that. I have been a t-mobile customer since it was called voice stream. Never got a deal like 3000 minutes for 49.99
