Here's another reason t-mo sucks. Every time i log in to mobiledia if I don't post a reply within about 30 seconds it asks me to log in again. Maybe it's mobiledia's problem but it's pretty annoying.

Another reason, T-mo will not let you download to unbranded fones. This is particularly stupid since they are losing money by doing so.

you are an uninformed idiot who spends way to much time on your phone in here you can download on an unbranded phone you just have to load the settings if a phone is unbranded then the correct wap address are not stored in the phone so it is not anyone not "letting" you it is wrong settings in the phone get a life a job and what ever else you need if you hate tmo so much go away nobody wants you that bad

That's funny. When i go to t-zones to download anything on my 6230i it says sorry your device is not supported you cannot download. Yet I can download from t-mo uk. Btw i heard that the mobiledia rules prohibit personal attacks. Of course it's always easier to attack the person than to refute their argument.

While shopping for a phone I came across a few T-mobile reps that didn't know about the product they were selling or, as it now turns out, the services. I should have ran out of the store but thought I would be nice. Big mistake. My advise to anyone reading this is too run out of the store quickly when they come across a dim-witted sales person because their ignorance can cost you hundreds of dollars. Ask a few current customers what they are paying and what plans they have instead.
T-mobile has designed their plans to sound fun when they are more expensive than their previous service plans - you may already have. Don't accept their suggestions to switch based on the minutes used. The total amount of minutes is not indicative of how each individual uses their phone, or what hours of the day each person uses a phone or to whom the calls are made out to. A proper analysis would be tedious. Also take into consideration the other phones you use, such as office and home, and the possibility that the cell phone you buy may replace one or both of the other land-lines.
T-mobile reps are reading a script that pops up on a computer that's been programmed to make a profit by slyly signing customers up to more expensive jazzy sounding plans, with less minutes and betting on the fact that you will not change your habits, nor read the fine print, and thereby go over your minutes and pay 40¢ / minute.
How is it possible that some phone companies are charging a couple of penny's a minute and your FUN jazzy sounding plan that's extra cool is charging you the same price you pay for making calls to Timbuktu? Not nice. Not cool. T-mobile does suck. Dumb people suck too.
And I also believe that T-mobile will not hire smart people who think. The like the people that simply follow the script on the computer.
I hate to say it. But I learned this from experience. I went in to buy a new phone and was not interested in changing my plan. But I followed the advice of a T-mobile rep and now I am paying a bill of $490.00. I'd like the T-mobile rep who suggested that I switch plans to pay part of the bill. If they are going to suggest plans they have to take up some of the responsibility or be trained to properly access your cell phone habits and use.
If you work at T-mobile please be sure to tell your supervisor you read this on-line.

Guess it varies by the store - I had an excellent experience, myself (just switched to T-Mobile end of May).
They were pushing the MyFave plans pretty hard at first, but when I told them that wouldn't do anything for me (most of the calls I'm receiving are from overseas, and overseas numbers can't be favorited), they trotted out the basic plans for me instead. On a basic plan I could get more minutes for the same price (since there wouldn't be any non-counting minutes on calls to a favorite), and that was exactly what I needed. I was disappointed that there wasn't any way to buy an earlier night starting time as there is with most of the other providers, but other than that I've been quite pleased with both the phone and the plan I walked out with.
Probably the thing I was most impressed with was being able to add and then drop the international unlimited BlackBerry email plan, and that they prorated the price of it as well. I fully expected to have to pay for the whole month of it (even though I wasn't going to be overseas that long), and was pleasantly surprised that such wasn't the case. Also nice that I could add and drop it without affecting my contract time. I travel out of the country with some frequency, but not so much that keeping that service active all the time would be worth it. Being able to have unlimited email wherever there is BlackBerry service (for a flat rate rather than per KB), and being able to add it only when I need it, is very useful to me.

No, they both work fine, and my Java apps still connect fine. (Southeast Michigan, for the poster who asked where I am.) I just don't visit this site very often.

Benjel, let me start off by apologizing for the harsh reply that was sent to you by Bcagle3 as this is not the trademark courtesy and concern that we at T-Mobile pride ourselves on and that which has led us to 5 straight JD Powers and Associates awards for customer service. In regards to your issue, it is unfortunate that you have been unable to download ringtones to your unlocked phone as I know how important it is to be able to customize your phone to make it stand out and truly act as an extension of your personality and interests. If you have an unlocked phone that happens to be a phone offered by T-Mobile, log into T-Mobile and at the top right hand side of the screen make sure your device is displayed, if it is, click on downloads and select the ring tone that you wish to download. If your device is a phone that is not offered by T-Mobile USA we unfortunately would not be able to send ringtones to your device through the T-Mobile website or T-zones as all of our ringtones are device specific to prevent the sharing of downloaded tones from device to device. I hope this has proved to be helpful and has somewhat restored your faith that we at T-Mobile can communicate information in a courteous manner as opposed to making derogatory statements or questioning the intelligence of our customers.
P.S. I am a supervisor in Customer Care and happened to stumble across this online.
