This is an absolutely fantastic site and I am so happy that I found it. I loved being able to read everything and anything about each of the phones and I narrowed it down to 2 with Verizon that wouldn't cost us the kids bank accounts!
I wanted opinions on the newest Motorola v265 or the LG VX6100? I need some insight by Monday as we have to get new phones immediately (mine doesn't charge and my hubbies is cracked and will bust any minute).
We primarily like the speakerphone option, having the outside display is a must to id who is calling, camera just for kicks, and really he uses his for business in NYC (600 min a month) and me just occassionally about 100 min a month (monmouth county NJ), he wears his phone on his belt all of the time! Hands free a must in NJ. We don't use IM or the internet at all. The kids would like it if there were games on the phone but, I wouldn't use any downloads nor internet time.
Being somewhat illiterate please try to explain whatever your opinion is in very basic format. Thanks so much!
Additionally what accessories would you suggest with either of these phones other than an extended battery?
Lastly is it possible to download pics taken on these phones with a USB cable and not using the web? If possible what would I need to buy?
To be fair I posted this on both the Motorola and the LG sites. I posted a poll on the LG site but, didn't have the option on this site unless I just don't know how I did it????????

Well this seems like a pretty hard one because both phones are clearly nice. But This is what I would get for the Motorola V265.
1.) Wireless earphone for handsfree communication
2.) USB Data cable(perferably the one from the maker of the phone)
3.) MPT for Motorola pictures and things (not to sure what programs used on LG phones in this instance)
Both phones are almost equal its just up to your choice of style and price. Good luck man let us know what you choose.

After going to verizon and seeing the v265 we went with the lgvx6100 as I didn't like the quality of the Motorola especially the internal screen.
Now, the problem is dealing with Verizon. They keep messing up our order!
I'll let everyone know what we think of the new phone.

Got the LG VX6100. Love the phone and hate Get it Now. Can't disable it and my son easily figured how to do it. I'm about ready to send it back as I don't want the kids using the phone for games and can't believe that it is so easy to mistakenly get into this function. Verizon did this on purpose to get us poor soles to dish out even more money for mistaken push on a button!
Love the speaker phone and the voice quality. Even on driving mode w/ speaker people hear me clearly. Camera is ok but, that's all I wanted. Now let's just get rid of Get it Now or they will have another phone returned.

Yeah thats what I'd suggest but the problem is does LG have individual lock application or does it lock down the entire set of applications too. thats why I think motorola has that better you choose what you want locked.
